Why Get an Automatic Driveway Gate?

If you have just moved to a new home and are concerned about your security, you may want to consider having a gate installed for your driveway.

Of course you would also need to consider the type of driveway gate you would want to have installed. Abbey Gates have kindly provided us with an article which can help you make the right decision.

There are two types of driveway gates.

The first one is the manual driveway gate, which needs to be operated by the use of your hands.

The other type is the automatic driveway gate.

This particular driveway gate uses a motor to mechanically open or close the gate.

So why should you consider having an automatic driveway gate installed instead of just a manual one?

These are just a few of the advantages:

• You can avoid terrible accidents from happening by not having to manually open the gate yourself

• You wouldn’t have to suffer from getting soaked on rainy days nor from being fried under the extreme heat of the sun

• It can save you lots of time because you wouldn’t have to get out of the house or your vehicle just to open or close your gate

• You can rest assured that your children and your pets are safe within the confines of your own yard

• Saves you energy because you wouldn’t have to open nor close the gate yourself

So if you would want to experience the conveniences and security of having an automatic driveway gate, have one installed at your home now!

Learning to Drive in the UK

You have just seen your family’s shiny new car and you can’t wait to get behind the wheel.

Suddenly you remembered, “how are you going to take that new car out for a test drive when you don’t even know how to drive yet?!”

Well, learning to drive in UK is quite easy.

You just have to remember to head to the nearest Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) office to apply for your first provisional driving license.

You can already apply for a provisional driving license three months before you turn seventeen if you would want to drive a car, and three months before you turn sixteen if you want to drive a motorcycle or a moped.

There are a few points you need to consider when you want to apply online:

• Are you a resident of Great Britain?

• Did you meet the minimum age requirement?

• Are you allowed to drive?

• Are you ready to pay for the £50 license fee?

• Do you have a valid UK passport or other forms of identity?

• Do you know your National Insurance number?

• Will you be able to give an address where you have lived for the last three years?

If you answered yes to all these questions, then you’re good to go! But then the question, “Can I just have anybody give me driving lessons?”

Then the answer is “no”. Because according to the UK Government, “Anyone you pay to teach you to drive must be an approved driving instructor (ADI) or trainee driving instructor.”

Caledonian LDT are one of the leading driving schools in the country, and can help match you up with the right instructor.

If you want to know more about who can teach you how to drive in the United Kingdom, please visit the UK Government’s website now!

Good luck!
